Taking a pie in the face on Tuesday afternoon definitely was not comedian Arbuckle (“A Noise from the Deep” – 1913) or actor Ben Turpin (“Mister Flip” – 1909), but several staff at Fulda Elementary School! And it was all in fun to celebrate the success of the Holiday Food Drive Challenge.
When the totals for the Holiday Food Drive Challenge were counted, second grade students were the top donators. All total, the students at Fulda Elementary School donated 1,340 pounds of non-perishables for the Fulda Food Shelf.
As a reward for all of their hard work, they get the fun of throwing pies in the faces of teachers and staff members.
