Jessie Jorgenson is now at the helm leading staff and programming of Hospice of Murray County. The Westbrook-Walnut Grove graduate is excited about this new opportunity.
She spent ten years serving as a diagnostic medical sonographer with Avera, ACMC in Marshall and Sanford in Sioux Falls before returning to school to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management.
Jorgenson attended classes at Rasmussen in Mankato to earn her degree. Upon graduation she worked at Centerville Care and Rehabilitation Center in South Dakota and most recently at Valleyview Manor in Lamberton.
Jorgenson admits she’s always loved working with senior citizens which is one of the reasons she opted to move in that direction. “I just wanted to be an advocate for the patients and staff,” she commented. “This job will help fulfill my leadership role goal.”
