Fulda Heritage Society sponsored the 1st Annual Irv Larson Memorial Tractor Ride on Saturday, June 17th. The event was held during the Fulda Wood Duck Festival.
Tractor lineup was scheduled for 9 a.m. from the Fulda Depot. Coffee and rolls were served prior to the departure time for the Tractor Ride.
A twenty-three mile route had been planned for the Irv Larson Memorial Tractor Ride. It began from the Fulda Depot at 10 a.m. and traveled around the west side of Fulda Lake, turned onto 1st Street, crossed US Hwy 59, past Schweigert’s Slew, turned south to travel Roberts Avenue, then east on 140th Street to Layfette Avenue and entered Fury’s Island for a rest stop. They then continued north on Tripp Road into Kinbrae, east on Nobles County 18, turned north onto Nobles County 1 and drove through Dundee. The tractor riders drove Myrtle Street W, and turned onto 1st Street and then turned north on 280th Avenue, and west on MN State 62 back into the City of Fulda. They went to Maple Lawn Senior Care to share the tractors with residents there, h and arrived back at Fulda Depot at 12:45 p.m.
