Despite being outscored in the second half 47-31, Fulda was able to hold on and claim a 68-67 victory over the visiting Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots.
Fulda boosted a 37-20 half time score in Tuesday night’s Red Rock Conference contest. Fortunately they had built a hefty lead and were able to hold on to take the win.
Their first meeting on January 5th found Fulda in a tight battle at half time with HBC ahead by a mere two points. HBC had a big second half and came away with the 59-45 win.
Slinger, 25 points on the night, netted the first four baskets in this contest including back-to-back three’s and a free throw and a bucket.
HBC’s Logan Leuthold was able to put the Patriots on the scoreboard by connecting on two consecutive trips down the floor.
With two free throws from Leighton Gehl, Fulda found themselves on top 13-5 early in the first half.
