6th Annual Heritage Country Show to be held Sunday

Sunday, April 23, is the date of the 6th Annual Heritage Country Show which will begin at 2 p.m. in the Fulda High School gymnasium.

The event will feature musicians from Fulda, Lakefield, Windom, and Iowa. The performers will be sharing memorable classics of the country music genre.

Lifting up their voices in song will be G.W. (Doc) Schwarz, Jason Grinnen, Paulette Whiteford, Thea Molavek, Roger Harvey, Cindy Harvey, and Craig Borsgard.

Just a few of the country classics that will be sung are Abilene, King of the Road, Daddy’s Hands, Sunday Morning Coming Down, Skip A Rope, Nothing I can Do About It Now, Love Me Like You Used To, Hello Walls, along with Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes, and Good Hearted Woman.

A trio comprised of Jason Grinnen, Paulette Whiteford and Cindy Harvey will harmonize to present A Thousand Stars In The Sky. 

Three duets will also be performed with two of them sung by Jason Grinnen and Cindy Harvey. Those numbers will be Unforgettable, and Rockin’ Years. Love is All Around is another duet that will be by performed by Jason Grinnen and Paulette Whiteford.

  This event is directed by G. W. “Doc” Schwarz and sponsored by the Fulda Heritage Society.

Funds raised through the Heritage Country Show will be used to support Fulda Heritage Society projects.

The Fulda Heritage Society is proud of the projects that they have completed over the past years in conjunction with the City of Fulda and Heron Lake Water Shed. Those projects include the restoration and upkeep of the Fulda Depot, the creation of the Veteran’s Memorial Park, the purchase of the “Fallen Soldier” statue, the planting of the Enviromental Rain Garden, the placement of plaques marking historical sites including the cannon, bathhouse, Old Soldier, and the Fulda Depot, the painting and care of the G. A. R. Monument at Prairie Hill Cemetery, the purchase of the Chicago, Burlington, and Quinch Caboose for the Depot, and the new Fulda Heritage Museum.
