Gingerbread houses as unique as the children who made them were constructed on Wednesday afternoon by Fulda Elementary School second graders. The Gingerbread House Project was a much looked forward to event to which the students invited their parents to attend and help with the construction of the tiny houses.
Using milk cartons, the students were instructed to use frosting to “glue” graham crackers to the sides and top of the carton. With the basic gingerbread house construction complete, the builders could move on and use a large variety of holiday candies to decorate the tiny houses.
Imagine the eyes of the students as they looked upon their selection of treats to decorate their houses with: miniature marshmallows, gumdrops, chocolate chips and tiny chocolate candy bars, red licorice, red hots, pretzels and coconut!
