“The Year Santa Got Mixed-up!” presented at Maple Lawn residents’ Christmas Party

Have you ever heard about the year that Santa got mixed up and had the elves paint the toys Shamrock green and carve pumpkins to place under the Christmas trees?

According to the third grade students from Fulda Elementary School who presented a Readers’ Theatre play during the Maple Lawn Senior Care residents’ Christmas Party – it all actually happened one year.

Apparently, Santa worked really hard that year and kept drinking coffee to give him energy to continue his work without sleeping. Then Santa went into the kitchen for another cup of coffee and there was a loud CRASH and he fell and hit his head hard.

That’s when Santa started mixing everything up because he had a concussion.

Santa’s elves began to wonder about him when he ordered them to stop making candy canes and create chocolate bunnies instead. He ordered Christmas stockings to be filled with baby teeth and a dollar or two.

Easter eggs were painted and placed under children’s pillows. Valentine’s were prepared and mailed to all of the people in the entire world.

And the reindeer were being run ragged because Santa was flying around the world each night taking teeth and leaving Easter eggs or putting sand in people’s shoes.
