Scoring 51 points in a dominant first half, the undefeated and Red Rock Conference-leading Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots rolled to a convincing 82-20 victory over Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda in a varsity girls’ basketball game at Hills last Thursday, January 3.
Freshman guard Chrissy Hermeling connected on a pair of three-pointers for the Coyotes and finished with a team-leading eight points, while junior guard Khloe Gehl (two points, one steal) snagged a team-high seven rebounds (four defensive and three offensive).
Junior forward Kailee Haberman (four points, five rebounds, one block), sophomore guard Morgan Gehl (two points, three rebounds), senior forward McKenzie Evers (four points, three rebounds, one steal), freshman forward Emily Madison (six rebounds) and junior forward Kelsey Fuerstenberg (four rebounds) also contributed statistically for the Coyotes.
