A tall Edgerton B-Squad girls’ basketball team pulled away from a cold shooting Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda squad at Edgerton last Tuesday night (January 8), turning what had been a close game in the early going — into an easy 46-20 win for the Flying Dutchmen.
The Coyotes stayed close through most of the first half, but a late Edgerton surge put the hosts up by a 22-11 spread at intermission.
“We really had an off night shooting from everywhere — free throws, two-point shots and three-pointers,” summed up Coyotes’ Coach Jonathon Curry. “Not making shots didn’t give us a chance to get into our press which may have caused Edgerton some problems.”
