RRC Falcons have hot night – Defeat Raiders

The Fulda Raiders traveled to Lamberton on Thursday night to face off with the RRC Falcons. The Falcons used a mix of some outside shots, as well as an outstanding performance by Spencer Halland, to run past the Raiders, 82-49.

Payton Marquardt led the Raiders in scoring with 14 points. Tyler Madison added 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Cory Renneke dropped 12 points.

The Falcons started the game very balanced, using an inside/out attack to get things going. The Falcons also made the extra passes to their open teammates.

Marquardt and Renneke got the Raiders on the board with each of them hitting a 3-pointer.

Madison was able to get a steal (5 total in the game) and then go coast to coast for a layup.

The Falcons continued to find their open teammates diving to the basket to easy scores. They also used the skip pass to their advantage and were able to knock down open shots.

Sam Cheadle hit a jumper from the free throw line area to close in on the RRC lead, but at halftime the Falcons led 38-21

The Raiders opened up the second half with a nice pass from Cheadle to Madison for a layup, and then followed it up with a steal and layup by Marquardt.

Renneke and Marquardt also hit  a 3-pointer in a 3 minute stretch. But the Falcons continued to score at will, as they forced the Raiders into turnovers and then easy baskets.

In the half court, the Falcons were able to continue to get easy scores.

Jaeden Strandberg connected on a layup and Madison hit two 3’s at the top of the key to end the scoring for the Raiders, but the Falcons had already done too much damage.
