Friday and Saturday, many people attended the Fulda Alumni Weekend that held a number of special events.
On Friday night, the Fulda Raiders Boys Basketball team played against the Mountain Lake Area Schools team. During halftime of the game, all male athletes and their coaches from each sport were recognized.
Also recognized were any teams and individuals who had earned trips to state competitions.
Following the boys’ game, a gathering was held at Brian’s Supper Club, allowing time for friends and acquaintances to catch up on the news about one another. Appetizers were served by the Fulda High School sports teams.
Early Saturday morning, alumni and their guests were treated to tours of Fulda Vitality Fitness. As well, there was pickup basketball, volleyball, wrestling, pickleball, spike ball and can jam games available at Fulda High School and Fulda Elementary School gymnasiums.
Free swimming was offered for alumni from 10 to noon.
Lunch was provided by the Fulda High School Sports Teams in the high school cafeteria, and catered by Antonio’s Pizza.
The Coyotes Girls Basketball team played Southwest Minnesota Christian at noon. During this game, female athletes from each sport that were in attendance, along with teams and individuals who are state record holders were recognized.
At the end of the game, alumni were invited to the Fulda American Legion Community Hall for a potluck meal that was provided by the area churches.
