An act of kindness does something for the recipient, but much more for the giver. American Legion 2nd District Commander Cindy Brunk shared Valentine cards and cookies with the Veterans at the Luverne Veterans Home last week.
“I gave them Valentine cards and cookies but what they gave back to me was unmeasurable!” she exclaimed. Commander Brunk thanks everyone in the community for taking time to thank a Veteran, not just on Memorial Day or Veterans Day, but every day.
Special thanks to the students at Prairie Elementary for the Valentines they thoughtfully created for the Veterans. They certainly brightened everyone’s day. Thank you again for your generosity.
