Iron Horse Motorcycle Club held its 16th annual Chili Feed Cookoff on Saturday, February 16th, at the Fulda Community/Legion Hall. The event is held each year to raise funds for scholarships that are awarded to area graduating seniors.
Chili cookoff participants deliver their crockpot of chili to the event by 4 p.m. The soup was entered in three different categories: mild, medium and hot. This year’s judges, Paul Kenney, Joel Herrig, Norm Redenius, Missy Biren and Pam Jacobson, tasted each chili in each category and named each winner.
Winning the mild category was Jason Wendorff. The medium category was won by Stephanie Strenge. Loren Chapman was named the winner of the hot category and Randy Weibel made the People’s Choice winner.
Recipients of the four $500 scholarships were presented with certificates. Winning the scholarships through an application process were Kelly Dahlhoff, Megan Busman, Evany Luna and Alex Bonnstetter.
