In memory of Daniel Klsoterman

1947-DANIEL KLOSTERMAN-2019

Daniel Klosterman, the son of Virgil and Dorothy Ann (Nepper) Klosterman, was born on March 3, 1947 in Worthington, MN. He lived in Luverne, MN until 1953 when they moved to Fulda, MN. Dan attended school in Fulda. After graduating from Fulda High School he lived in Wilmont, MN. In April of 1966, Dan entered the U.S. Army and served until March of 1968. Dan was united in marriage to Mary Odenbrett on June 22, 1968 at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Fulda. After their marriage they made their home in Worthington where Dan began working as a mechanic for Buysse Motors and later worked at the Worthington Municipal Liquor Store until his retirement in 2005. After his retirement in 2005 they moved to Rockvale, TN. Dan remained in Rockvale after Mary’s death in March of 2013. In 2017 he moved to Brandon, SD. Dan passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Hospice Cottage in Worthington at the age of 71. He enjoyed motorcycling, taking care of the yard, golfing and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Survivors include his three children, Brad Klosterman of Portland, TN, Mark (Stacie) Klosterman of Sidney, OH and Tina (Jody) Brassfield of DeForest, WI; six grandchildren, Dr. Kyle Townswick, Sydney Klosterman, Tayler Klosterman, Brooke Klosterman, Wyatt Brassfield and Autumn Brassfield and sister, Donna (Bob) Getzel of Worthington, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary.

Funeral services were held at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 with Msgr. R. Paul Heiting officiating.  The organist was Mary Ann Boom. The song leader was Lloyd Winter. The pallbearers were Kyle Townswick, Heath Fischer, Ron Kirchner, Todd Nepper, B.J. Klinkenborg and Luke Odenbrett. Interment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery Fulda, MN.
