Murray County celebrates 25th anniversary of the Corn and Soybean Growers

A large contingent of people were on hand Thursday evening, March 28th to share in the Murray County 25th anniversary of the Corn and Soybean Growers group.  Their primary objective is to ensure that corn and soybeans remain a viable product for years to come.

Robert and Sally Nelson were recognized for their service to the organization – not only on the county level but also throughout the state. Robert was the second in the nation for recruitment two consecutive years. “He’s very passionate about what he does,” stated president Brent Miller. Robert and his wife were presented with a metal sign as a token of appreciation for their years of service to the group and the state of Minnesota.

Those in attendance enjoyed entertainer David Harris who has received rave reviews by Minnesota’s ABC, CBS, and FOX TV. In addition two Midwest emmys for sketch and comedy TV and has entertained across the U.S.

Member benefits include educational opportunities and learning ways to help increase profitability. The association strives to spread the “true story” about farming to people who are not familiar with production agriculture.
