The Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes softball team have played a couple games this season, and have had others postponed. Last Tuesday afternoon in the rain, the team hosted Red Rock Central/Westbrook Walnut Grove at their home field in Okabena.
The Coyotes started strong, scoring two runs, but were unable to hold off the RRC-WWG team. RRC-WWG won the game, 17-5.
Hannah Kazemba pitched for the Coyotes, notching several strikeouts for the team.
More details on the Coyotes early season games will be included in next week’s issue. The girls were scheduled to travel to Mountain Lake on Tuesday, and will go to Edgerton on Thursday, April 18.
