Fulda City Hall was the site for a colorful, twirling, swinging, hooping and dancing event on Thursday afternoon as area children gathered to learn about hula hooping and hula hoop dancing.
Led by Hooperina (otherwise known as Jeanna Hensler), the group learned to swing the hula hoops from their waists, hips, necks, legs, and arms. They also learned to spin the hula hoops on their arms, hands and knees. Even after that, there was more to come as they learned to jump through the hoops, dance while hooping, and get through a tunnel made completely of hoops that may or may not stay in place as someone crawled through them.
