A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

April 23, 2019 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Gunnink, Jens, Kluis, Thiner, and Welgraven. Also present were Travis Smith and Amy Rucker.

MSP to approve the agenda as modified.

MSP to approve the minutes from the April 16, 2019 meeting.

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 22(2) and Judicial Ditch No. 3 totaling $8,771.89.

MSP to set a Public Hearing for May 21 at 1 p.m. in the Commissioner Meeting Room of the Murray County Government Center to appoint an engineer for the Repair to Murray County Ditch No. 22 (M.S. §103E.715, subd. 2).

MSP to approve Pay Application No. 1 to Sussner Construction, Inc. for the Courts Building Remodel Project in the amount $39,999.75.

MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditch No. 67.

MSP to contract with B&W Control Specialists to spray open ditches in 2019.

MSP an Order for Redetermination of County Ditch 11, Before the Murray County Board of Commissioners Acting as Drainage Authority for County Ditch No. 11.

MSP to approve the purchase and installation of equipment from EATI for two new squad cars for a cost of $16,435.80.

MSP to approve the purchase of radios from Racom for two new squad cars for a cost of $6,062.44.

MSP to approve the purchase of radar units from MPH for two new squad cars for a cost of $4,038.00.

MSP to obtain a credit card for Chief Deputy Heath Landsman.

MSP to approve the offer of employment to Karla Ray as a regular part-time Environmental Services Specialist in the Environmental Services Office.

MSP to hire the following seasonal employees at the Seasonal Grade Rate: Bryanne Bose – Seasonal Museum Assistant and Dennis Lickness – Seasonal Parks Maintenance.

Open Forum/Public Comment – No one present for Open Forum

MSP to extend the deadline for the Sundquist Park project to the end of July.

MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of April 7, 2019 to April 20, 2019.

MSP to approve attendance of all members of the Board at the Murray County Hazard Mitigation Plan 2019 Update Meeting on May 6, Southwest Regional Development Commission Public Hearing on May 9, and tour of Appleton Prison on May 24.

MSP to approve a subordination agreement for parcel #03-019-0050 for a Murray County Septic Loan, further moving to authorize the Auditor-Treasurer to sign.

MSP to approve a hydraulic analysis agreement with Leeds Township with the Murray County Highway Department.

MSP to approve going into closed session pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.05 Subd.3(c)3: to discuss the potential purchase of parcel #20-016-0050 or #20-016-0071.

MSP to approve coming out of closed session.

MSP to approve the Administrator Job Description as amended.

MSP to approve the 2019 Administrator Salary Range of $90,729 to $117,936.

MSP Resolution 2019-04-23-01, County Administrator

MSP to approve the bids for project CP 01-19 and award the bid to Traffic Marking Service, Inc. in the amount of $77,043.55 contingent upon receipt of a signed form 21126D from the contractor.

MSP to approve the bids for project SAP 51-626-006 and award the bid to R and G Construction in the amount of $264,705.45.
