The Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes had a total of 373 for the first day of the tournament. They came in with 381 on day two, ending their season with a 754 total.
The Coyotes finished in eighth place. Community Christian of Willmar won the team championship with a total of 655.
Seniors Cory Renneke and Payton Marquardt led the Coyotes, placing in a tie for 54th and 58th respectively. Renneke shot 94 and 88, for a total of 182. Marquardt totalled 185, with 89 on the first day and 96 on day two.
Junior Joe Fischer was the Coyotes third golfer, finishing the tournament with 192 (98-94).
Juniors Ethan Koep and Tyler Madison and sophomore Isaiah Schmid finished the tournament with the same total score of 208. Madison shot a 92 on day one, and 116 on day two. Koep and Schmid shot identical scores, as they finished day one with 105 and day two with 103.
The Class A state golf tournament was played at Pebble Beach Golf Course in Becker on Tuesday, June 11 and Wednesday, June 12.
The medalist honors went to Brett Reid from Community Christian. He finished with a two day total of 145 (72-73)
Following Community Christian in the team standings were Springfield (658), Fertile-Beltrami and Lac qui Parle Valley (tied at 676), Walker-Hackensack-Akely-Laporte (692), North Woods (699), Bethlehem Academy (738) and HL-O/F (754).
