All three teams of baseball took on Okabena in their first away game of the year.
The Little Mites, 2-4 grades, were lucky enough to play two games as they have 18 boys out. They won both games 12-0 and 6-1. Gavin Bell had an excellent defensive and offensive game as he fielded all three outs in one inning and hit an in the park grand slam in the next! Other memorable hits included a double by Brady Madison, a two base hit for Kaston Clarke, and a nice triple by Abel Collin.
Dillan Smith pitched for the Big Mites in the third game of the day and was only one batter away from a perfect game. Smith faced 10 batters, walking one and striking out the other nine. While much fielding wasn’t needed, the rest of the team were all excellent in batting, leading to a 15-0 win.
