The Community Band Concert on THURSDAY, JUNE 27 at 7:00 p.m. will feature “Trombone King,” “Best of Queen,” and “Sing for America.” “Amazing Grace” will feature a trumpet solo by Mark Holton. Schaap Sanitation Relay for Life Team will be offering a burger meal.
The death rate for lung cancer dropped by 48 percent from 1990 to 2016 among men and by 23 percent from 2002 to 2016 among women, with declines accelerating among both men and women in recent years. The death rate for female breast cancer dropped by 40 percent from 1989 to 2016. For prostate cancer, mortality dropped 51 percent from 1993 to 2016. Colorectal cancer mortality dropped by 53 percent from 1970 to 2016.
The Community Band Concert on TUESDAY, JULY 2 at 7:00 p.m, will feature “Navy Hymn,” “Take Me Out To The Ballgame,” and “American Celebration.” The Kiwanis of Slayton will be serving Burgers grilled by the Murray County Cattlemen’s Association. This event is being held on Tuesday this week so families can celebrate July 4th with their families.
