A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION

June 18, 2019 – 6:00 p.m. Pursuant to law as fixed by Minnesota Statute Numbers 274.13 and 274.14, the Murray County Board of Appeal and Equalization met with the following members present: Commissioners Jens, Gunnink, Welgraven, Kluis and Thiner. Also present were Marcy Barritt, Jean Nelson, Amber Hansen, Jessica Laleman, and Heidi E. Winter.

MSP to reduce the estimated market value of Parcel Identification Number 29.100.025.0 (Richard Morin) from $41,100 to $39,900 for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020, this reduction is a result of calculating the standard city-wide 5% value increase on the approved 2018/2019 appealed value.

MSP to reduce the estimated market value of Parcel Identification Number 11.140.007.0 (Allan and Rita Curry) from $283,800 to $280,700 (reduction of $3,100) for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020 due to the removal of a shed from his valuation.

MSP to reduce the estimated market value of Parcel Identification Number 04.030.001.1 (Robert and Bonnie Ossefoort) from $47,600 to $47,400 for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020 due to the removal of two out buildings from the property.

MSP to deny the request to change the classification of Parcel Identification Number 11.009.005.1 (Lonnie and Tiffany Lambertus) from residential to agricultural for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020.

MSP to deny the request to reduce the estimated market value of Parcel Identification Numbers 29.010.010.0 and 29.010.011.0 (Slayton County Club, Inc) for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020.

MSP to deny the request to reduce the estimated market value of Parcel Identification Number 01.016.003.0 (S & B Family Farms LLP) for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020.

MSP to deny the request to reduce the estimated market value of Parcel Identification Number 01.002.002.0 (Duane and Marilyn Jans Revocable Intervivos Trust) for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020. James Jens voted no.

MSP to deny the request to reduce the estimated market value of Parcel Identification Number 01.009.009.0 (Duane and Marilyn Jans Revocable Intervivos Trust) for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020.

MSP to deny the request to reduce the estimated market value of Parcel Identification Number 05.034.005.0 (Duane and Marilyn Jans Revocable Intervivos Trust) for the 2019 assessment for taxes payable in 2020.
