Nora Ann Fuchs age 92 of Norwood Young America died Tuesday July 16, 2019 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 27, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (101 SE 2nd Ave) in Norwood Young America with Rev. Eric Hutchison as officiant. Visitation held ALL AT THE CHURCH 4-7:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday one hour prior to the funeral. Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. John’s Lutheran Church Bus Ministry and Mayer Lutheran High School.
Nora Ann Fuchs was born January 9, 1927 in Ottertail the daughter of Harry and Leona (Schultz) True. She was baptized on January 30, 1927 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ottertail by Rev. William Eifert. Nora Ann confirmed her faith in the Lord on March 17, 1940 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. John Spomer officiating. Her confirmation verse was 2 Corinthians 5:15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
Nora Ann grew up in Ottertail and graduated from Perham High School in 1944. She was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator. Nora Ann was united in marriage with Arthur Fuchs on September 16, 1949 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ottertail. This union of 64 years was blessed with children Larry, Leann, Karen and Kevin. Nora Ann and Arthur had lived in Ottertail and Fulda prior to moving to Norwood Young America in 1969.
Nora Ann had worked side by side with her husband in all church related activities. She was active in the LWML, Ladies Aid and Bible study groups. Nora Ann would volunteer whenever asked and she loved to help with sewing and hand stitching quilts to be donated. Nora Ann enjoyed ceramics and cooking and baking for family and friends. She cherished time visiting with family and friends.
Nora Ann is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Fuchs; daughter-in-law Linda Fuchs; parents Harry and Leona True; sisters and brother-in-law Harriet and Stanley Estes, Dorothy Seifert; brothers and sisters-in-law Loren and Ruby True, Ormand and Leora True; father-in-law and mother-in-law Christian and Anna Fuchs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Hilda and Ewald Wegner, Marie and Elmore Wegner, Emma and Walter Nelson, Walter and Luella Fuchs, Edgar and Hilda Fuchs.
Nora Ann is survived by her loving family: children Larry (Vickie) Fuchs of Woodstock, VA, Leann (Randy) Feltmann of Norwood Young America, Karen Smith of Palmetto, FL, Kevin (Peggy) Fuchs of St. Pete Beach, FL; grandchildren Kelli (Steve) Thomas, Laurie (Ryan) Evans, Nathaniel Smith, Amy Welsh, Lori (Webb) Sharp; great grandchildren Kylie and Andrew Thomas, Vincent and Everlee Evans, Zachery and Natalie Sharp; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Mary Jane Seifert; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Serving as casket bearers Randy Feltmann, Kelli and Steve Thomas, Laurie and Ryan Evans, Nathaniel Smith. Honorary casket bearers are Nora Ann’s great grandchildren.
