Clean-up follows Saturday’s storm

Clean-up was in progress in Fulda on Saturday shortly after the early morning storm,  with strong winds and heavy rainfall, beat upon the area for more than 45 minutes.

Man power, chain saws,  skid steers, pick-ups and flatbeds were some of the tools necessary to remove the many trees, branches and leaf debris that was present after the storm moved to the east/northeast.

The storm was wide-spread with reports of 75 miles per hour winds.

In Fulda, a couple of homes sustained damage when large branches were ripped from trees and came to rest on the roofs.

Fulda street crews cleaned up so that streets that were blocked by tree and branch fall were passable for motorists.

Nobles Cooperative Electric reported outages in Worthington and Lismore, and in some other scattered areas. Crews were dispatched already just shortly after the storm hit around 9 a.m.

By 11 o’clock, Nobles Cooperative Electric stated that their crews were trying to get a 24 kv transmission line on. Once that was completed, they started on repairing damage in Lismore, Leota and Wilmont areas.
