From Monday, July 29th through Friday, August 2nd, First Presbyterian Church, Fulda, held their annual Vacation Bible School. The theme this year was ROAR. The lessons and music were based on a fictional animal preserve in Africa’s savanna.
Over 35 children, ages 3 – 10 attended ROAR. Each day the Word of God was celebrated and the children learned that even when life is scary, sad, changing, happy and unfair, God is still always good to us.
Bible stories learned included the plagues of Egypt, the crossing of the Red Sea, Jesus dying on the cross and others.
Along with the Bible lessons, and music, those who attended did crafts and played games.
Volunteers who helped with the Vacation Bible School numbered over twenty. Many of the volunteers were children who were participating in the Vacation School Program this year.
First Presbyterian Church invited all parents to join in the closing program on Thursday night, followed by rootbeer floats, where more volunteers helped to take down the massive decorations for the week.
First Presbyterian Church wants to invite anyone who is currently looking for a church family, to bring their children to Rally day, or the day that Sunday school starts for the year, on September 8, 2019. Worship is at 9:30, and Sunday school starts at 10:30.
