Murray County Fair will be the place to look for the 4-H projects submitted through the Bondin-Belfast Club by Dylan, Jackson, and Madilyn Kramer.
They willingly shared what projects they had prepared during a very sunny day last week.
Dylan, age 14, is showing a market barrow and a market gilt this year. “I have to walk both of them every day and wash them after their walk. They are fed every morning and every night,” Dylan explained about the care of his pigs. “We also have been taking them to other shows throughout the summer We showed at Jackson, Windom, and Madison and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They’re really tame and do well while showing.”
Jackson, age 12, also entered a market barrow and a market gilt this year. “We went to a sale and I picked out the pigs that I liked,” Jackson said. “I have to do all of the same things with my pigs that Dylan does. We have to clean pens quite often.”
