The Grand Opening of the Tuseth Ben Franklin Store will be held on Friday, August 21st. Mrs. Tuseth decided to remodel the Tuseth building to the south of the old one. With the help of the Butler Planning staff the modern quarters will have a marquee canopy and new pleasing textile sign. Upon entering the new location the center entry leads to a huge aisle of tables flanked on each side by wall shelves and peg board. Most of the items have been transferred from the old store to the new location for the grand opening.

A deal was completed recently in which Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Jansma purchased the duplex known as the Doerhoeffer place, from the present owner, Prince Patterson.
Sister M. Cleo, the former Jeanette Wisdorf, pronounced her perpetual vows as a Franciscan Sister on August 12th.
Richard Bode is ordained by his father, the Rev. R. L. Bode at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in International Falls on August 9th.
Patricia Gleason and Larry Giesen were married at the Reading Presbyterian Church on August 12th. The Rev. Warren Hoffman officiated the double-ring service.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Shea are the parents of a son, born August 17th.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shea are the parents of a son, Jeffrey born August 13th.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Zins, Mr. Leander Zins, Mr. John Zins and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sauer attended the funeral of their uncle, Peter Jutz, who died August 12th, at Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Ulm on Monday.
Word was received by relatives of the death of Mrs. Roy Lott in Los Angeles, California on August 6th. Mrs. Lott is the former Grace Hostetler.

Fulda Public School Board accepts the resignation of Superintendent Paul Wandersee.
The Fulda Fire Department responded to a call at the William Paulzine farm site where a family home was on fire. The blaze apparently started in a basement bedroom and is attributed to faulty wiring.
A Sheep Shearing contest was an enjoyable event at the Murray County Fair.
Fulda Area Lakes Preservation Corporation members, Robert Kolander, Rupert Hofmann and Ervin Hakeneis display a plaque received for their involvement in lake preservation signed by Barbara Bush.
Joan Hubert, age 54 passed away on August 6th.
Cecelia Fried, better know as Skeeter, passed away on August 14th at the age of 70 years old.
