In a special Fulda School Board meeting called for Thursday evening, August 15th, 6 p.m. in the High School Board Room, the board members discussed several items related to a possible application for a Long Term Facilities Maintenance Bond through Ehlers, a municipal advisor firm.
After lengthy discussions revolving around the amount of the loan, the term of the loan, the interest of the loan and its affects and benefits, it was decided to have Loy Woelber, Superintendent, ask for an illustration from Ehlers on a 10 year loan in the amount of $750,000. 00.
With the number of repairs and maintenance needed within and outside of both buildings, Superintendent Woelber recommended the $750,000 loan for ten years. Some of the needed repairs are the boilers in the high school, elementary windows, a number of doorways, and roofing.
A decision on the Long Term Maintenance Facilities loan will be made by the school board at their regular meeting Monday, September 9, 2019, 6 p.m. in the High School Board Room (Room 214).
