Fulda School District welcomes new teacher Chelsea Noding in first grade

Originally from Wall, South Dakota, Chelsea Noding is a 2008 graduate of Wall High School. Following graduation she chose to attend South Dakota State University in Brookings where she earned a Major in Early Childhood Education, birth to 8 years of age, and a Minor in Leadership.

To meet student teaching requirements, Noding was in the Westbrook-Walnut Grove School District at the elementary school in Walnut Grove. While there she taught in  first grade.

Noding taught Early Childhood Family Education Westbrook-Walnut Grove for a year and then in Brewster for three years. She taught preschool at Brewster Public Schools for four years. “I learned so much about classroom management and time management while teaching the preschool-aged students,” Noding commented.

On September 3, 2019, when school opens for the year at Fulda Elementary School, Noding will be teaching one section of first grade students. With twenty-eight students enrolled in first grade, she will have 14 in her classroom. The other section of first graders will be taught by Jen Elness.
