A2C James D. Czepa was selected as the outstanding airman for the month of July at the noncommissioned officers meeting of the U.S. Air Force, Glasgow, Montana.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Brown, Dundee suffered slight bruises Monday night when a train hit their car at a crossing near town. The Browns were returning to their farm three miles west of Dundee, after a visit at the Raymond Nelson home, when the front end of their car was hit by the freight train ans spun around.
Connie, five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Christians, had the misfortune to fall from a pony, Saturday, and break both bones in her forearm.
Michael Ziebarth, five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ziebarth, fell from his bicycle and fractured his left forearm. He will be carrying it in a sling for a few weeks.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dundee, with its altar banked with beautiful garden flowers, was the setting August 29th for the marriage of Marlene Voit and Arnold Kass both of Dundee.
Sharon Leebens became the bride of Edward Muller in a candlelight service in the American Lutheran Church in Avoca on August 28th.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Singer are the parents of a daughter born August 26th. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Miller are the grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Wulf are happy to announce the arrival of a son, born August 31st. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Paplow are the grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wolf are happy to announce the arrival of a baby girl born August 28th. She was named Karla Rae.

Donna Lenards has stepped down as one of Fulda’s long time Girl Scout Leaders. Even after 17 years of volunteering she is still willing to lend a hand now and then.
The Fulda School Board considers Joint-Powers Agreement with Slayton on Superintendent position. The Board was introduced to Cornelius Smit, Superintendent of the Slayton Public School. He was interviewed for one/half time shared superintendent position with Slayton.
Mary Shea passed away at the age of 95 years old on August 31, 1989.
Violet Engelkes is honored as Resident of the Month at Maple Lawn Nursing Home.

Veronica Moravcova of the Czech Republic will attend the Fulda High School as a foreign exchange student for the 1999-2000 year.
Lisa Kremer received the Shining Star Award from the Murray County Youth and Family Task Force for her work with youth at St. Columba Church, Iona. She was presented the award by Renee Dorpinghaus and Colleen Gengler.
St. Garbiel’s Catholic Church has completed work on their elevator calling it a Blessing to the Church.
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs of MN, Fulda Reading Club and the Fulda Friends of the Library will host the 3rd annual Art and Flower Show September 25th.
The first day of school begins with an ‘all school’ pledge of allegiance as students gather by the flag outside the elementary school.
Mrs. Lowe joins the Fulda High School staff as the new Agricultural Teacher.

Lorraine Roop passed away on September 3rd at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 26 days.
Evalyn Rickgarn passed away on September 5th at the age of 53 years old.
Ronald Gruis passed away on September 2nd at the age of 45 years old.
Dustin Obermoller, 19, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident in Daytona Beach, Florida on September 2nd.
