The grass is brittle and the cracks could almost swallow a small dog. Rain of at least an inch, even two is on most minds. We had a taste on several occasions. Things are sort of green yet. September is here, schools are running full tilt and the sports season is on.
My weekend started with a rush to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre for “Mamma Mia” in celebration of a young lady of seven decades or so. It was birthday party. I had to dress up, clean underwear and all. I understand the play is coming to Sioux Falls. The food was good and the musical was great. Saturday was the Minnesota State Fair with all its food and wonderments. There was a large human mass that moved slow but steadily. It was a good time but tiring. Collapsing at the end of day was a joy. Sunday morning we were at the gates of the Renaissance Festival for more fun, food and frolicking with the crowds. I think they looked a lot like the good folks that we waded through the day before at the fair. It’s good to complain a little, but know that I (we) had a good time and will do it again. Monday brought the holiday and a slower start to the day. Staying with the youngest son was comfortable and there were a few projects that we could help with. After that, dragging our sore, worn and deflated bodies back home in time to tackle the work week.
Some rain will help but it looks poorly until the weekend.

Eventually all things fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moments, and know everything happens for a reason.

Have a good week.
