We did it! A book per month for students in kindergarten through 6th grade

A special goal has been met that benefits students at Fulda Elementary School – all due to the generosity of the residents of the Fulda area!

Towards the end of the 2018-2019 school year, Fulda Area Community Club was looking at the 2019-2020 school year. They made plans to help promote a book program, through Scholastic Books, in the Fulda Elementary School.

“Our goal was to have a new book available for each student who attended the fall open house and to continue that gift of a new book one time per month for students in kindergarten through sixth grade,” Ann Witzel explained.

The reason for the provision of books is due to the fact that statistics show a huge correlation between early reading and successful graduation rates, achievements and life goals.

Only $9.00 per student was needed to make the goal of providing a book per month to the students at Fulda Elementary School.
