First up on the agenda for the Murray County Commissioners meeting held on Tuesday,August 23rd, were the approval of meeting changes and review of past meeting minutes. Some changes were made for the record of last week’s meeting by Aurora Heard, Murray County’s Coordinator. Heard also brought a letter of resignation to the board. The resignation of Christian Hansen, Murray County Water Resource Administrator, was approved.

A conflict of interest then presented by Robert Moline was discussed. The conflict deals with a stretch of road to be abandoned and turned into yard at Moline’s property line. The board discussed how to handle the division of land with Lake Sarah Township. The road is next to the Lake Sarah Public Park. The property is to be divided evenly. The board also decided to look into abandoning the stretch of road going north on Hwy 69 by Pete’s Corner. The road is left over from reconstructing the intersection.  Commissioner Kluis shared an update regarding the need to do some work at the food service building. The roof is leaking and needs to be taken care of. In doing so, some items will be removed off the roof and a seal put on it. Some discussion was also held in getting rid of the cooler.
