In memory of Kathy Ramert

    Katherine Anne Ramert, 62, was born on July 22, 1957 at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska to Dennis (Jim) and Myrtle Ramert. Katherine passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Maple Lawn Senior Care in Fulda, MN

Kathy graduated from Fulda High School in 1975 and attended Morningside College on a music scholarship. Kathy was married to Bill Chepa and from that union her son, Ryan James Chepa was born.

Over the years Kathy was employed at various area restaurants as a chef and was known to be a very good cook. Her interests included painting, music, jewelry design, cross-stitch, and other crafts.

Surviving members of Kathy’s family include her son, Ryan Chepa of Marshall. MN, two grandchildren, Sienna Chepa and Auston  Chepa, of Marshall, MN, her mother, Myrtle Ramert of Fulda, MN, brothers; Mark (Cynthia) Ramert of Fulda, MN, Dan (Ruth) Ramert of Worthington, MN, Dale (Mary) of Eden Prairie, MN and her sister Mary (Tom) James of Garvin, MN, nieces and nephews and her dedicated companion, “Frankie”(her Siamese cat).

She is preceded in death by her father Dennis James (Jim) Ramert and her grandparents.

A prayer service in her memory, for family and close friends, will be held at Maple Lawn Senior Care Chapel on Friday, October 4th at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor Paul Heiting officiating.
