Starting October 3rd the Coburn Memorial Public Library will change to the winter hours; Tuesday and Wednesday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday 11:30 to 1:30 (for students), and Saturday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Betty Lou Heinrich and Donald Sturm were married September 19th at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church in Minneapolis.
Lorraine Burnham and Ronald Kreb were married on Saturday, September 19th at Randolph Heights Presbyterian Church in St. Paul.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon for Joseph P. Buchvalt, 71, who passed away Friday at the Heron Lake Hospital. Burial was in the Kinbrae cemetery.
Leon Tolversen, 55, rites held in Wisconsin. Mr. Tolversen passed away in Rochester last Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Konold are the parents of a daughter, Mary born September 14th.
Mr. and Mrs. Merl Johnson are the parents of a daughter Lori Rae born September 25th.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schumm are the parents of a daughter, Cynthia born September 18th.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Goettig are proud parents of twins, a girl and a boy on September 28th.

Eric and Brenda Loosbrock are the parents of a girl, Brittany born September 25th. Grandparents include Ivo and Fran Loosbrock and Arnold Henning.
William Speckmier passed away unexpectedly on September 27th at he age of 82 years old.

City of Fulda leases new police car at a cost $25 per month plus 13 cents per mile with a lease term of 75,000 miles or 7 years.
The Fulda area got a surprise dousing of the fluffy white stuff on Friday with six plus inches covering the area. Due to the early season snow, volunteers were busy prior to the football game Friday night as they cleared the snow from the field so the game could go on!
The members of the Fulda Girl Scout troop collected items for Smile Bags to be given to children about to undergo surgery through Operation Smile Program.
Fulda Charities Board sets kick-off date – volunteers needed.
Becky Bartosh and Nathan Vandervanter were married at St. Gabriel’s on May 29th.
Chris Geerdes passed away on September 27th at the age of 89 years old.
Students at the Fulda Elementary School jumped in to the Homecoming festivities enjoying dress up days, especially ‘Grown Up Day’!
Homecoming week at the High School saw students dressed as their favorite ‘famous people’, ‘geek’, ‘team colors’, and ‘90s nerds’.
