Veterans Day to be observed in Fulda

Veterans Day 2019 will be observed in Fulda with a special program held at the Fulda High School gymnasium, 10 a.m., Monday, November 11th.

Fulda Legion Post and Auxiliary 318 will post the colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, led by Mr. Pack’s 5th Grade Class.

The program is planned by members of the Fulda FCCLA Chapter.

Special music will be provided by the Fulda High School Band and Choir, directed by Matt Saxman. Fulda Junior High Band will also play. The musical numbers that have been chosen are “Star Spangled Banner”, “My America”, and “Land of Liberty”, and “Call to the Heroes”. Fulda Elementary School kindergarten through 3rd grade students will be singing “I Love America” and the 4th through 6th grade students will sing “This is My Country/God Bless the USA”.

Third grade students will recite a patriotic poem.

Ms. Ellen Kelm, along with the Fulda faculty and staff will talk about the Jeans for Troops-GI Go Fund.

There will be a special time set aside to recognize the veterans from each branch of the United States Armed Services.

The public is invited to attend this special program that honors and thanks our local veterans.

All veterans and their families are invited for bars, coffee, and punch in the Family and Consumer Science room after the conclusion of the program.
