Track and field pole vaulters Skylar Fisher (nine) and Faith White (eight) combined for 17 points last Friday (November 22) as the Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda B-Squad girls’ basketball team defeated Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley by a final score of 33-16 in the opening-round of the Wabasso Tipoff Classic.
A total of six girls scored for the young Coyotes, who held a huge 22-8 lead at halftime and continued to play good team defense.
Kelli Renneke (seven), Kalli Johnson (five), Claire Reith (two) and Helma Poeppel (two) also scored in the game for HL-O / Fulda.
The Coyotes played a second game at Wabasso on Saturday afternoon (November 23) and were defeated by the Wabasso Rabbits, 38-27.
