Tom Gits, president of the Fulda C & C announced today that all retail stores in Fulda will be open Friday nights as well as Saturdays until Christmas.

Best Holiday Lighting contest to be held within the village limits with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place sponsored by the Fulda C & C.

Mrs. Margaret Holinka was honored on Friday with a party – Grandma Holinka, 88 years old, enjoyed the afternoon playing cards with friends and family.

The marriage of Judith Christopherson and Terry Bramel was solemnized on November 28 at Sacred Heart Church in Heron Lake.

Diane Ritter and Duane Kuehl were married on November 28th at the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle in Indianapolis.

The engagement of Janice Dalin to Edward Reusse has been announced.

Janis Kraft and Donald Heintz were married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakefield on November 27th.

Mr. and Mrs. John Sant celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving Day.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at Westbrook for Harvey Byers who was killed Monday when a grain elevator tipped over on him while he was attempting to move it.

George Redenius rites held on Tuesday. Mr. Redenius passed away on Saturday.

Jacob Koopman passed away of a heart attack on November 25th at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Norma Lais Helmerick,  is in need of a liver transplant due to cirrhosis of the liver – a result of Non A Non B Hepatitis. Benefit to be held on Sunday.

Deb and Dale Bestge drove a heard of 60 cattle 5 miles north to their winter range. The Bestge’s urged the stragglers forward on horseback while a tractor with a bale of hay led the way.

Citizens of Tomorrow include Jason and Jeffery Horne, Maria and Jennifer Voss, and Brent and Kristi O’Neil.

Fulda High School senior profiles include Nida Grunewald, Mark Koster, and Kelli Ramerth.

Dance to the music of the Yanks at the Fulda Legion Hall this Saturday night.

Helen and Lorenze Goering celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on December 17th.

Marie Davis passed away on November 23rd at the age of 74 years old.

Gary Grothe reported to the city council that recycle day for Fulda will be switched to Tuesday of every other week beginning January.

Three high school buddies combine their individual collections of music and a bit of equipment to form The BIG Show Mobile DJ service. The trio of Jake Larson, Matt Meier and Shawn Wilde will share the booking events throughout the area including weddings, reunions, street dances and more.

Keeping traditions alive – Grandma Elsie Meier’s Christmas draws nearly 100 family members together in celebration.

Fulda High School choral department held their “Spirit of the Season” concert.

The 2nd grade class spent a morning this week with parents and grandparents building Gingerbread houses.
