Crowning of the Snow Week king and queen took place on Monday morning at Maple Lawn Senior Care. With all names of residents to draw from for king and queen, Ray Goedtke’s name was drawn, as well as Janet Hart.
There was great fanfare as King Ray was crowned and the robe of royalty placed around his shoulders.
Queen Janet was several feet away enjoying breakfast when her name was announced. She arrived in the living room to receive her crown, robe, and scepter with a huge smile lighting her face.
King Ray and Queen Janet will reign over all activities for Snow Week, which is being celebrated under the theme Christmas in July
Dress up days are:
• Monday – Christmas in July
• Tuesday- Red and Green Day
• Wednesday – Christmas Sweater or Shirt Day
• Thursday – Ho, Ho, Ho Down Day (country western)
• Friday – Tinsel, Glitter and Bling
On Saturday evening the residents will gather to watch the Fulda Parade of Lights which will begin at 6 p.m.
