Little eyes searched the adults gathered in the preschool room at Fulda Elementary School as they looked to see where their parent(s) were standing. It was Parents Day at Preschool on Thursday, and the room was packed with students, their parents and teachers.
The students, led by teacher Alice Spartz, shared their morning routine with their guests. They identified the day and date of the week, showed that they were learning the letter I, sang a song, talked about the weather outside and the snack helper fed the classroom fish.
Pride was evident on the faces of the children as they showed their parents what they have been learning throughout the past few months.
Then Mrs. Spartz gave instructions to the parents and students about the 27 fun-filled play stations set up for their enjoyment. They were encouraged to visit each station and take time to do the activities together.
A balance beam was just outside the preschool room door and the students enjoyed trying to walk it without touch the wall or holding anyone’s hand.
