Wolverines prevail in low-scoring B-Squad girls basketball game at Fulda Mountain Lake Area / Comfrey claims 32-17 victory over Coyotes

Unable to generate much offensive consistency against the strong team-defensive tactics of Mountain Lake Area / Comfrey, the Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda B-Squad girls basketball team lost a 15-point decision, 32-17, to the Wolverines on the Fulda court last Thursday evening, December 5.

MLAC opened up a 12-5 halftime lead and continued to put the clamps on the offensive efforts of the Coyotes throughout second-half action.

Eight girls scored for HLOF, led by sophomore Faith White’s four points. Scoring two points each were sophomore Skylar Fisher, junior Kalli Johnson, freshman Anna Fest, sophomore Claire Reith, sophomore Taylor Haberman and sophomore Addison Fisher. Sophomore Taryn Evers made a free throw.

Now with an overall record of 2-2, the B-Squad will travel to Edgerton Thursday (December 12) to tangle with Southwest Minnesota Christian.
