In a closely-contested B-Squad boys basketball game at Fulda last Tuesday (December 10), Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda nipped Murray County Central by a final score of 51-50.
Hustling guards Jaeden Strandberg and Paul Salentiny combined for 31 of HLOF’s points as the two juniors scored consistently throughout the fast-paced contest.
Strandberg finished with 16 points, while Salentiny connected three times from long range as he tallied 15 points for the Coyotes, who rallied from a five-point halftime deficit (21-26) to earn their first win of the season after beginning with a pair of losses.
Logan Erdmann (nine), Tyson Cotter (eight), Gage Freking (two) and Dylan Freking (one) also scored and came through with many other offensive and defensive contributions, helping HLOF claim victory.
The Coyotes were 14-of-22 at the free throw line (63.6 percent) and made five 3-point shots in the game.
