Adrian, MN – The Fulda/MCC Warriors took to the road again Tuesday night to travel to rival Adrian Dragon territory to wrestle a Quadrangular that included Springfield and Sleepy Eye. MCC would not be wrestling the Adrian Dragons as they met the previous week. The Warriors would take on St. James Area first and fall to them 24-52. The second dual the Warriors took on Springfield and would have a very close dual losing by 1 pin 36-48. The Warriors are looking stronger all the time as they add wrestlers from Junior varsity to get wins as well as adding Rylan Behnke who pinned both of his opponents at the 160# weight class.
Carson Klein took his first varsity win against Dalton Langseth of Springfield. It was a great match to watch as you could see the fury in Carson’s eyes as he looked on to shake hands in the beginnings of the match. Early in the first period Langseth got Carson to the mat for the first two points. Langseth tried a spladle which Carson fought off, which led into a cradle that he broke and Langseth wasn’t able to score any back points. Then Carson got to show off his own moves and pulled Langseth to the mat on his back to get a 3 point nearfall. In the start of the second period Langseth came out firing and got a single leg on Carson which he defended and planted Langseth to the mat for the pin.
Looking forward the Fulda/MCC Warriors will be travelling to Redwood Falls for the Redwood River Riot on Friday December 20-21 with lots of JV and varsity competition.
