Big second half propels Coyotes past Falcons, 77-46

Leading 33-24 at halftime, the Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes turned on the jets and outscored the Red Rock Central Falcons 44-22 in the second half to claim a huge 77-46 victory in a Red Rock Conference high school boys’ basketball game last Tuesday night (January 21) at Lamberton.

Eleven players scored the Coyotes, who improved to 6-10 overall and 4-3 in the conference with the 31-point victory.

“We played awesome up at Red Rock, as we played a complete game on both ends of the floor,” Coyotes head coach Colby Pack said. “We executed tremendously on defense, and we outrebounded them 48-33. We used that rebounding advantage to get out and run the floor, as we got the tempo to where we wanted it to be — which is fast.”
