After a back-and-forth, closely-contested first half of action, the host Murray County Central B-Squad boys’ basketball team gradually opened up its lead and claimed a 47-37 victory Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda at Slayton on Friday evening, February 14.
The triumph by the Rebels avenged an earlier-season 51-50 loss to the Coyotes at Fulda on December 8.
MCC led by just two points (18-16) at halftime, but outscored HLOF by eight points (29-21) after intermission. The loss dropped the Coyotes’ overall season record to 14-9.
