The Fulda School Board met Monday night approving the Consent Agenda which in included three open enrollments into the district. Non-teaching contracts with Jill Madison as a Paraprofessional, Mike Pagel as Jr. High Football Coach and FFA Advisor, Gregg Slaathaug as Head Girls Basketball Coach and Athletic Director, Marcine Elder as Cable Access Coordinator, Kody Kramer as Assistant Wrestling Coach, Andrew Olson as Assistant Wrestling Coach, Kristin Hovland as Head Senior Class Advisor. Jessica Hogan as Assistant Girls Basketball Coach, Steve Kellen as Assistant Basketball Coach, Emma Boomgaarden as a Paraprofessional and Cathy Salentiny as a Paraprofessional.
Kayla Westra addressed the Fulda School Board, in the Open Forum, formally requesting written information about the new policy to limit students to 15 minutes per day in the library or computer labs to the district parents. She was interested in the research behind this decision and how it will help students and what objectives will be gained with this policy. She said research supports providing more, not less, access to students.
