Strong winds were responsible for tree damage, downed and snapped utilities poles, and even the displacement of a roof from a hog barn near Fulda on Thursday night.

As the severe thunderstorms made their may across southwest Minnesota after 10 p.m. on Thursday, there were reports of wind gusting up to 60 miles per hour. Several areas also reported hail in varying sizes.  Rain reports varied from .12 to 1 inch, with the heavier amounts reported south of Fulda.
