The Miss and Mr. Fulda Scholarship Event is being held this year by having the candidates submit an essay answering the question “What is the biggest struggle you have faced in your high school career?”
It has been especially important to the Fulda Area Community Club to honor the 2020 senior students and continue with the Scholarship Event inspite of the Fulda Wood Duck Festival having to be cancelled due to COVID-19.
The Miss and Mr. Scholarship Committee shared the following criteria for 2020 Miss Fulda and 2020 Mr. Fulda Scholarship Event:
• The candidates were asked to complete an informational form and turn it in by June 1, 2020.
• Candidates were asked to complete a 200-500 word essay answering the question “What is the biggest struggle you have faced in your high school career?” The deadline for the essay was also June 1st.
• A second essay of 500 plus words was asked with the topic being “Our Vision is 2020, Focus on Fulda” The deadline for this essay was June 8th. These essays were to be judged annonymously by the Fulda Area Community Club Board of Directors.
• And lastly, the candidates were asked to complete a 2 – 4 minute video to be posted on the Fulda Area Community Club Facebook page.
$500 scholarships will be awarded to Miss Fulda and to Mr. Fulda. $250 scholarships will be awarded to Miss Fulda Princess and Mr. Fulda Prince.
The three candidates are Cassidy Holinka, Kelsey Fuerstenberg and Tyler Madison.
