Adam Humphrey is happy to be at the helm of NAPA Auto Parts of Slayton. The former Fulda native, officially purchased the NAPA store this past May from Dennis Lickness.
Humphrey has always had an interest in autos, however, hadn’t really thought about owning his own business. One day a littler over a year ago while visiting Lickness to make a purchase, he put the thought into Humphrey’s head. During the time, Humphrey had been doing construction work on the road. During the layoff that winter the idea surfaced again. “I really like working on autos and motorcycles so I thought more seriously about the idea,” explained Humphrey. They met again and discussions translated into making a business plan and finally the purchase. “It took a while to get everything in place in order for me to even think about business ownership,” he continued. Humphrey became the official owner this past May 16th.
