American Legion Post #318 Commander, Jim Troje, shared the above photo recently. He said “A few years ago, our Post decided that they w
ould like to replace the flag poles at Prairie Hill Cemetery just north of Fulda. The poles were in really bad shape and were in need of repair or replacement. A few months ago, at a monthly Legion meeting, it was decided to remove the old flag poles and buy new ones. On Tuesday, September 20th, several of the American Legion members got together and installed the new bases for the eight flag poles.”
American Legion Post #318 is also responsible for the new flag pole at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Cemetery. They will also be installing a new pole at Fulda City Hall.
